Congratulations #TeamHamlet

         W niedzielny wieczór, 21. lutego w londyńskim West End's Prince of Wales Theatre odbyła się uroczystość wręczenia nagród teatralnych WhatsOnStage Awards (Theatregoers' Choice Awards).

Nagroda o tyle ważna dla aktorów i twórców teatralnych, gdyż przyznawana głosami publiczności.

W tegorocznej edycji WhatsOnStage Awards pojawił się również akcent o którym ze względu na moją miłość do tej sztuki jak i uznanie dla odtwórcy głównej roli nie mogę nie wspomnieć.

"Hamlet" w reżyserii Lyndsey Turner otrzymał 9 nominacji w 7 kategoriach:

- za najlepszą reżyserię (Lyndsey Turner)

- za najlepszą scenografię (Es Devlin),

- za najlepsze oświetlenie (Jane Cox),

- za najlepszą nową adaptację,

- dla najlepszej aktorki drugoplanowej (Sian Brooke za rolę Ofelii oraz Anastasia Hille za rolę Królowej Gertrudy),

- dla najlepszego aktora drugoplanowego (Ciarán Hinds za rolę Klaudiusza i Kobna Holdbrook-Smith za rolę Laertesa)

- dla najlepszego aktora pierwszoplanowego (Benedict Cumberbatch za rolę Hamleta).

       Sztuka ostatecznie zdobyła 4 statuetki - "techniczne" za scenografię, oświetlenie, najlepszą nową adaptację, a nagroda "aktorską" trafiła do Benedicta Cumberbatcha.

    Trochę szkoda, że "Hamlet" zdobył tylko jedną nagrodę aktorską. Wielkie nadzieje wiązałam z Sian Brooke, jej Ofelia była bowiem nadzwyczajna i gdyby otrzymała statuetkę byłoby to wyróżnienie jak najbardziej zasłużone. Niemniej "przegrać" z tak znakomitą aktorką jak Judi Dench (The Winter's Tale) to żadna ujma :)

      Niedzielny wieczór był niewątpliwie wielkim świętem dla fanów Benedicta Cumberbatcha, za którego fandom mocno trzymał kciuki i którego zwycięstwa byliśmy niemal pewni. Był to także radosny wieczór dla fanów "Sherlocka", gdyż aktorzy znani z tego serialu również otrzymali wyróżnienia:

- Mark Gatiss za najlepszą drugoplanową rolę męską w spektaklu "Three Days in the Country";

- Laura Pulver za najlepszą drugoplanową rolę żeńską w musicalu "Gypsy".

No i jak tu się nie ucieszyć? :)
